These videos contain training on some of the core basic skills that all Pilates students will require. Fundamental Principals of Pilates (ESSENTIAL TRAINING FOR ALL MEMBERS!)

This is essential study for all new members of MyPilatesClub. No matter what your existing experience level, we insist that you review and practice all exercises within this module before you graduate to your chosen category of progressive training.

If you have suffered non specific general lower back pain problems in the past, or have some discomfort now, this is the category of Pilates training for you to follow.

Those of you who are new to Pilates and do not fall into the Back Care category above, should start Pilates training in this series. People with past experience of Pilates who are not very confident or advanced practitioners are also recommended to start in this category.

Improvers Pilates (‘In mind for future release’)

Pilates students having achieved a clear level of competence in the Beginners series of training may graduate to the Improvers classes. New members with some past experience are all advised to enrol at Beginners level initially, in order to confirm their competence at that standard before graduating to Improvers classes.

Is Pilates easy exercise?

Well – yes and no. Pilates is about careful, slow, gentle movement and not the massive, rapid, demanding actions found in some sports or other exercise disciplines. But whilst it is a gentle form of exercise, the precision and control of body movement required is quite high. This takes careful practise and the development of good muscular strength, control and co-ordination to be able to master the movements.
