MyPilatesClub has elected to use flash software as its primary system for streaming video in high quality for our members. Flash is capable of operating on both PC and Mac computers and all browsers. The videos allow for full screen viewing as well as the capability to fast-forward, pause and rewind through the videos as you require. The website and content has been designed for use with all major browsers although we find Internet Explorer a little smoother in operation than Firefox.
Minimum Requirements
The following is required to experience MyPilatesClub video course material:
1. A broadband connection (DSL, Cable, or Satellite), providing minimum 1 Mb bandwidth / connection speed.
* Under 512k broadband connections and dial-up will not be suitable to view our videos.
* Please contact your internet provider if you are unsure of your connection speed.
* Regardless of what you service provider promises, you are advised to view our sample videos to see how they perform on your system. You can also test your download speed before subscribing. You will need a consistent internet download speed of at least 350kbps to view our videos, or you are likely to experience video and sound problems. Check your download streaming speed here: http://www.bandwidthplace.com/ or here: http://speedcheck.ispconnect.co.uk/ . NOTE: It is necessary to run the speed tests at least twice to obtain reflective results, but be aware that all speed test sites give differing results! Unfortunately they can only be taken as a broad guide.
2. Windows 7, Vista, XP, 98, 2000, or Mac OS X version 10.1.5 or later.
3. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, or Netscape.
4. Flash Player 10,0,115,0 or newer
Troubleshooting Flash Player
We recommend you have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player installed on your computer. Some older versions of the Adobe flash Player will work, but getting up to date is advisable. An absence of picture suggests you may not have the required Flash Player installed. Adobe is a reliable and recognised company and you can download their free Player quickly and easily. They have their own troubleshooting pages for persistent problems. You can download it here: http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
Browser Problems
It may be the case that your browser is causing problems in viewing video or accepting the latest Adobe flash Player upgrade. There are settings changes that can be made and also it is sometimes beneficial to manually uninstall the old Flash Player version and then install the latest version. These exercises are quite straightforward for technically minded computer users, but others might find it a hassle and prefer to call in a techie friend.
Our Sample Videos
The bottom line for functionality is:- Can you comfortably watch our sample videos? If you can – then fine. Your system will cope splendidly. Happy viewing. If not, but your internet service provider and the speed tests suggest your system should be capable of streaming videos, then it is most probably a Player or browser issue that you will need to rectify before you can enjoy the MPC course material.
